According to the article linked below, those that have been scamming people with fraudulent phone calls from the IRS have made tweaks to their methods. For the past few years, scammers have been making threatening phone calls posing as an IRS agent in an attempt to scam money out of individuals. These were pretty simple to reject because the IRS does not make phone calls for initial contact, and instead, prefer the letter approach. Now, it seems, scammers have caught on to this fact and are creating fake letters from the IRS with requests for money or personal information.

Lot of issues have been reported recently regarding the IRS scam phone call. We should be aware about it. IRS will never call and demand to pa tax and give a deadline. It will be better to contact IRS and have a clarification regarding the same.

I knew it. Some evil dudes will take advantage of those who know very little about how the IRS works. Even if you know how it works, you could still be scammed because they pose as if they know more than you and that you need to be penalized or something. Let us be vigilant and protect ourselves from these criminals. We should know where to get help.
